Objective: strengthen the symbiosis between sea and city in one of the most evocative places in Italy, the Passetto of Ancona

Prize: 1000€ + installation of the winning solutions in the new stairway lighting project + invitation to the inauguration (events and lighting) + international media coverage
iGuzzini illuminazione, Accademia di Belle Arti di Macerata (Italy), in collaboration with IALD (International Lighting Designers Association) and with the support of the Municipality of Ancona (Italy), promote a new competition for young lighting designers (under 40).
The theme to inspire, as well as the title of the competition, is: "Strengthening the symbiosis between sea and city, designing a creative path of light and storytelling aimed at raising awareness on the protection of the marine and coastal environment, in accordance with Goal 14 of the United Nations 2030 Agenda".
The participants are asked to create 4 unpublished graphic works for metal gobos, specifically for projections contextualised within the new architectural lighting of the incredible Scalinata del Passetto, on the Ancona promenade. At the same time, they are tasked to develop a storytelling to support the graphics. All the details and specifications are available for download here.
