The Fold

The lighting of "The Fold" draws inspiration from a field of tulips, the inspiration behind the architectural design: the shape of the facades was intended precisely to evoke the flower.  

The tulip inspiration accentuates the vertical elements, using an eye-catching play of light and shadow that sculpts the architecture by shading it and enveloping it in inviting warmth.  Light Up Earth with Wall Washer optics and spots allowed the effects to be modulated to achieve the desired result.  

In the center, a spine challenges traditional pathway lighting strategies by contrasting a dimly lit walkway with bright side surfaces. This unique contrast defines a welcoming atmosphere, creating a unique residential space.  

Minimalism is at the heart of design. A curated kit of design elements enhances without overpowering architectural features. Layers of warm lighting create a welcoming ambiance, while landscape lighting highlights the beauty of the plants.  This adds depth and character to the outdoor space, fostering a connection with nature.  

Aiming to redefine Dubai's residential offerings, the architects deliberately wanted to create a sophisticated space and offer a sense of real community that is currently lacking in the immediate area and beyond.
